Sheldon Adelson withdrew a $650 million dedication to help develop a arena in Las Vegas for the Oakland Raiders after becoming frustrated with the team’s overreaching needs and mixed signals towards him during negotiations.

Abboud told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a newsprint owned by his boss, Adelson, that the final straw came once the Raiders took a proposed arena rent agreement to the Las vegas, nevada Stadium authority without informing the Adelsons.
No mention was made by the lease associated with Adelsons as being a partner, a turn of activities Abboud describes as ‘stunning.’
‘I’m still trying to figure out just what the hell these were thinking,’ Abboud said. ‘Had they told anyone beforehand which they were going to dump that document, even should they had told us, ‘We don’t want you in the deal anymore,’ should they had shown anyone which has been tangled up in this process at all that document, we would have said, ‘What in the hell have you been thinking?”
